Fibrinaloid Microclot Complexes
In this webinar, Professor Douglas Kell will explore the growing body of research surrounding fibrinaloid (amyloid fibrin) microclots and their potential role in impaired microcirculation, reduced oxygen delivery and the persistent symptoms experienced in conditions such as Long COVID and M.E.
Drawing on decades of research and a programme of work that has helped shape our understanding of fibrinaloid microclots alongside Professor Resia Pretorius, Professor Kell will explain the biology behind these abnormal clots, why they may evade conventional testing and what current evidence suggests about their role in chronic infl ammatory disease.
The webinar will also discuss emerging approaches to supporting fibrinolysis, including the evidence surrounding enzymes and other candidate nutraceuticals, while emphasising the importance of working alongside healthcare professionals when considering any therapeutic interventions.
